Travelin' song

I should be packing, but am procrastinating. Anyway, Proud Iron Lion is playing in Ybor tomorrow and then there is an afterparty since the guys are moving out...I'm already dreading waking up the next morning and driving to Georgia haha. Matt, Phoebe, and I are heading up to Atlanta and Athens for a few days and staying with three different people we met through couchsurfers.com. I've been a part of Couch Surfers for a little while but have never hosted anyone/been hosted so I am so excited and hope all goes well! We'll be staying Saturday night in Atlanta, exploring Atlanta Sunday and then heading to Athens to see M. Ward on Monday... Phoebe and I went to this pretty field a few months ago and took a few pictures...but I misplaced and forgot about them until now because I do that with everything.

Tipsy

Last November when I visited Rachel in North Carolina, she took me to downtown Greenville and we went to a little place called 'The Tipsy Teapot'. It was such a cute, calming, quaint place filled with books and tea kettles. We ordered the tea for two for under $5 and they bring you the kettle and your own little jar of sugarcubes, cute right? Anyyway, they had some of the most precious teapots and it inspired me to start collecting them...like I need more stuff in my room.
I wish we had things like this in Florida...just look at the ceilings...I am in love.
These are the only pictures I took last November & they don't really give it justice.
Who's down to start one of these in Florida? Haha.

Design

I'm not sure in which direction I'm taking this blog. My intentions were for this to just be a place to post pictures I've taken but I"ve already gotten bored with that. Doing a thorough clean of my room has inspired me to design, decorate, re-do, move this, move that so I've been looking through archives and entries upon entries of different design blogs and sites (my favorite being http://www.desiretoinspire.blogspot.com/) and I have been dying for my own place to decorate. Lucikly, Phoebe is moving in to her new apartment soon and I can't wait to help her haha.

I love the idea of this diy coat rack. I'd like to have one similar in my room but I'm afraid to even try because it's too small, ugh.

It's weird to think, this time last year, I called Chicago home.

Everybody daylight

I would spend most days here,

if I could. But wishing someone was beside me is getting pretty old.

Aint it strange

I go through these internet blogs and journals like crazy, spending time making them but never actually keeping one up to date. One of my resolutions was to keep an updated journal and I still never did, so instead of promising frequent updates I'm going to do the opposite (and hope this will have the opposite effect).

Anyway, summer has been really great so far. I graduated and quit my job and have basically been focusing on being lazy and having fun. I spent two weeks exploring the Hawaiian Islands with my Mom and decided that I'll only be happy once I have a career that allows me to travel and take pictures (dream big, right?). Anyway, Hawaii is probably one of the most beautiful places on Earth and I can't wait to go back. I typically don't go through a roll of film very quickly, but I ended up shooting nearly nine rolls during our trip (which I will post once I'm in a scanning mood haha).

Tomorrow I leave for Greenville, North Carolina to see Rachel and then we're leaving Saturday to go to Las Vegas for a few days. I feel really grateful I've been able to travel so much this summer...so if anyone is reading this and is interested in being travel buddies, let me know!
